Daniel Martin Acupuncture

Daniel is an incredible healer and a true advocate of holistic health.  As soon as I walk in the door I feel completely comforted; my health and wellness have his full attention.  Allopathic health institutions demand so much of their practitioners that I had gotten used to seeing the doctor for all of 5 minutes before being diagnosed and heading out the door.  Daniel listens to my concerns and I ALWAYS walk out of the door feeling better.  Daniel's use of acupunture and herbs to treat my health concerns has left me feeling much better in the time that I have seen him.  I recommend him to everyone I know.  Visiting Daniel has become an essential part of my self-care routine!

Daniel Martin is not only a kind and compassionate person, but an intuitive and exceedingly generous healer. I have been seeing him weekly for almost a year and a half, and in that time he has opened up a series of holistic doors for me, physically and mentally, such as treating stress and depression, a serious iron deficiency and weak pulse, hormal imbalances, food cravings, auto immune diseases, infections, concentration, and fatigue. He has helped me link symptoms and sensations within my body to deep, embedded traumas I had previously only been vaguely aware of, and of which we have directly targeted (and continue to target) through acupuncture treatments and herbs. Daniel is not just an acupuncturist you go to see to get some quick needles and a moment to yourself (although he most certainly will help!); Daniel is a real, engaged, constantly-learning and investigating healer who works with you and your body on multiple levels in order to achieve YOUR desired treatment and results. He really listens to you (don't be surprised if you find yourself telling him your life story!), and has the utmost respect for your concerns and comfort level. I have never felt afraid to ask him questions, and because of this have learned so much about the practice of acupuncture, and have a growing knowledge of his approach every time I see him. I never feel like I go to him just to have him work "on" me, but that we are constantly working together. And I think this is a really rare characteristic of many doctors these days, who not only are overworked and seeing too many patients each day, but who are taught in school to treat a "problem" with a quick fix, for instance popping a pill every time something hurts. Acupuncture can bring very quick and amazing relief, but it is not a Western quick fix, nor an instant solution to your pain, but part of a holistic lifestyle designed to bring more peace, compassion, and health into your life. Working with Daniel each week reminds me of this.
